| We made an attempt to go out today, but no luck. Real thin ice only about two inches. A couple guys were fishing not far from shore making sure to be light on the ice. We actually ended up helping a guy that fell through on his way out. Another fisherman yelled to him to watch out for the thin ice, and as soon as he said it, the guy went through the ice. We stepped in the water and pulled him out. It was intense for a moment. The guy whomfell thru was fine he urgently gathered his things and went right home pretty cold but ok. So after a cold ride home and a change. We went to savins and had a slow but safe day. I hope pachaug is fishing soon. |

Man that sucks were you trying to get out there from the boat launch or somewhere else, because when I went there were 2 groups fishing right out of the boat launch but I think they got out on the ice on the other side somehow.
And where were you fishing on Savin? My fish were to the left off the point out in the middle. 2 other groups were out there while I was, fishing shallow water catching a lot of pickeral. |
