I like to use 3 to 4 inch grubs as trailers. Slide the trailer hook thru the grub right over the eye. Then put it on your main hook(hook some of the plastic as you bring it thru the trailer hook eye). The grub will help keep the trailer hook on. You can also use plastic worms, Just trim off some of the main worm body so its about the same length as the trailer hook.

I suggest adding 2 trailer hooks to the trailer hook and adding 4 trailer hooks to each trailer trailer hook. Continue this process until you have a giant web of hooks . Now troll around the lake in circles.
Keep fishing. Youll get her. Buzzbaits are great lures. Try them mid day and throw them often. Also use BIG baits. 10" worms, 1oz mop jigs, 6" swimbaits, bluefish plugs...
Still waiting for my 5lb this year but I am getting closer... |
