I find the best rig for catching fish is an 1/8th ounce ball-head jig inserted into the tube so that the line ties out of the top of the bait. This gives the bait a spiral kind of fall that triggers bites!! The hook is exposed in this kind of rig,..but I just deal with it!
(This is the only way I would even THINK of fishing one if the bite is tough!) _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."

round ball-head jigheads. the cheapest i can find because i seem to go through quite a few if i'm fishing them alot. i usually use anywhere from 1/8 oz. to 1/2 oz. depending on conditions and size of tube that i'm using. |

Jighead is the most effective, but if you get your hands on some 5 in flippin tubes I suggest go weedless and weightless. You can snap them just like a finnese fish or plastic shad. _________________ Fishing is much better than working! |
