back in the day when I went ice fishing I purchased a similar product at the Big E fishing show. It was a tripod style but had a similar looking mechanism and they were horrible. I assume they would work good when the fish are aggressive but when you get a lite bite and they barely trip a flag they didn't work good. I pulled up a bunch of bare hooks or half a fish like they didn't swallow yet. I stopped using them a went back to my old cheapies |

Hi!
Better to build yourself some mini Slammers!
They've been around for years -> Mostly Great Lakes area for steelheads!
Made 2 my self from pictures off the Internet and work very well!
Hooked an Atlantic salmon today 1/24/10 at Mt. Tom -> though I lost it at the hole!
Just Goggle up Slammer fishing or Slamco!
