Took the new boat up to Highland to get an hour on the motor. Brought my wife with me to teach her how to drive the boat. I took a couple of rods "just in case" but it was really more about taking her out on the new boat.
A good portion of Highland is still iced over, but there's still plenty of water to fish. I had never been there before and scouted out some spots with the side-imaging for future reference. I marked a few fish and made a couple of casts with the dropshot but didn't have any takers. The couple fish I marked were in the 30 foot range. Water temp was 41-43. Sorry, not much of a report, but man it was great to get out! |

2009 Ranger Reata 186. Fish and ski for the family, but I tricked it out a bit with some extras that make it more "fish" than "ski." |
