Normally I don't get to Saltwater fish that much, let alone I am not that experienced with Salt. We launched at 8:30am at the Baldwin Bridge State Launch in Saybrook. It was surprisingly slow for that time of the day. Air temp was in the 70's and slowly climbed throughout the day. As we were heading out of the channel to the sound, I noticed a bunch of small fishing jumping and a ton of people at the mouth casting quick and reeling in like crazy. I'm not sure if that's bunker or snapper blues? Maybe an expert can fill me in lol.

Anyways we fished Hatchett's until about 2ish and just kept pulling in porgies one after another non stop. Some fat ones, some small ones. We decided to keep decent ones that were over 11". My buddy actually caught the smallest black sea bass I have ever seen lol. It was literally like 4 inches. All fish were caught using 3 way rigs with Sandworms. After some fishing we went over to the beach near there, met some friends, and anchored up...did some swimming and relaxing. The water was decent, I forgot the temp. On the way back to the launch around 4ish, the ride back was pretty choppy. I think the tide was going out as we were coming back. Hi tide was around 130ish I believe. The launch was of course a nightmare, people casting into he channel in front of boats, several boats, and pretty much a circus.

Here is the take home.

They did! For a little fish they fight pretty darn hard!
