I know that not everyone is into handing out info. But I was supposed to go with a friend of mine tomorrow night but he can't make it so I'm looking for a general idea of places to fish. Anything close enough to shore?

| I'm in Waterbury. I don't mind driving though. Need some fish bad. I fished the naugy river a few times and other people caught them but I'm not sure if the fish are there anymore. I'm coming from competitive largemouth fishing so saltwater is new to me. |

I just came back in from the Eastern Sound. Fishing sucked. My friends running charters are headed to Block or well east in RI for stripers during the day. You might have some luck fishing blackfish around New Haven or father west. Fish off any of the near shore reefs with Asian crabs. I'm sure some guys on here can give you some ideas for bait fishing. I'm too ADD to sit on an anchor or drift fish or fluke.

Where are you parking? I think they close the gates at 10pm....the other night the girl was nice enough to let me in without paying b/c I was fishing. But today one of them turned me away b/c I didn't have a sticker. |
