SOLD! Kinda sad to see this boat go. Probably fished it as much in the past 4 years as any boat I've had. _________________ RNA - It's in my blood.

Congrats on selling her and congrats on your new boat. Those Triumph boats look sweet. Have you taken one out for a test drive? How many horsepower would a skiff need to run at 35 miles per hour? _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

Thanks. I went for a run around on one with a guy year out of Stonington on a choppy day w/ 15mph winds. As expected, we caught some spray, but the boat can handle it. This is not the boat to be running out to the Race, but it's got a ton of beam. I've been out on 17' Carolina Skiff DLXs several times. The Triumph hull is softer, and I can run it over stuff! I've got a 75 E-Tec that is supposed to run up to about 36mph. I can cruise comfortably at 25, sipping fuel. I looked at several used bay boats on the 22ft. range, but they either draw too much to even think about fishing lakes or river coves, or i still risk the gell coat/glass running super shallow over rocky bottoms up here. Anyway, boatless for a few weeks, but looking forward to setting up the new one. Just ordered the Lowrance® Elite-5 DSI Sonar with GPS. Wanted the Hummingbird with sidescan, but that was about $600 more once you buy the Navionics chip that only works from NY to Boston. Hope I'm not kicking myself later. _________________ RNA - It's in my blood.
