looks like the flounder time line is lengthened this year. I mostly go to Niantic , how is that bay or river for flounder and is there any particular I would want to start looking and or what bait to use ?

Fluke will hit sandworm and squid strips if you're chumming.

Fluke also enjoy feasting on silversides and sand eels, so throwing a smaller plug or a Kastmaster no heavier than 1 ounce would work too.

One other lure is a 1/2 ounce bucktail constantly bounced on the bottom. Rig it with a Berkley Gulp sandworm or mullet and you're good.

We usually anchor right on the channel edges in the river. If it is a nice day you will definitely have company.

My bait/rig of choice is a sandworm on a double flounder rig.
