Guys,
I'll be camping in Ashford this weekend. Give me ideas as to where to go.
I'll be using the small boat (twin troller). I know of Mansfield Hollow, bigelow.
Where else? _________________ Sleep...Eat...Fish!!!!! Then do it all over again. |

If you hit Mansfield Hollow, do me a favor and crank some bucktail jigs with swimming tail trailers parallel to weedbeds or the shore. I keep having dreams of huge northern pike slamming something like that. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

Definitely try Morey Pond. Also I've heard that Halls pond is good. What campground are you staying at? There's some good ones out there. _________________ Catch and release only.

Ashford lake is private but i know somebody who owns property on the lake and it is perfect for the twin troller. No launch, but you can put in at the small private beach and no boat traffic but the few property owners on the lake. Pm or call me and I'll give you more info. _________________ Life's Short - Fish Hard - Take a Kid Fishing |

Hey guys, Thanks for all the tips.
I only had one day to go fishing so I hit Morey Pond.
Nice little place. I took the TwinTroller.
I caught a nice 4.12oz LMB along the highway on the first pond, then went under to the larger/deeper pond and caught a few more the went 2. 2.5 and a few 1+.
Everything was caught on a creature bait.
Thanks again. _________________ Sleep...Eat...Fish!!!!! Then do it all over again. |
