Wednesday evening my dad and I hit West Haven Beach. My dad was going for weaks while I concentrated on bluefish.
Lures I threw included a 10cm silver Flat Rap, 9cm shad Shallow Shad Rap, and 11cm blue sardine Max Rap.
Right around 7:30pm I felt a solid hit and pull on the SSR. Landed my first bluefish of the year!!!!!!  I was so happy and celebrating!!!!! It was your average 2 or 3 pound taylor.
Then 10 minutes later other fishermen were landing them and I wasn't getting a single hit 
Later I lost a blue on the Max Rap.
Started heading back to the car around 9pm.
My dad never got into any weakfish. |
