Anyone fish this section of the Farmington at the end of Tunxis Ave?
I drove by there yesterday and did notice trails at the end of the street past the gates. I live in Windsor without a boat so I usually fish the Farmington around Bart's boat launch. Looking for a good spot for trout and bass in the Windsor area. I know Salmon Brook in Granby is pretty good for trout, I just havent made it up there yet. |

I've never fished that particular section of the Farmington, although I've fished both above and below it. The Tariffville Gorge is rougher water than I'd like to paddle. I've never caught a trout in that area, but throw only lures that I think bass would hit. I know that DV (aka Derek) has gone down the Tariffville Gorge in his canoe before. He said that he caught little smallies down there. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |
