I went to fish farmington river on sunday afternoon, one of the kids i was with pulled two 1lb smallmouth bass out of there,he was using a small jig and yamsenko green crawfish. Is there a specific setup to use to catch trout there or bigger fish?
Also we were fishing in the windsor area by Tunxis grill, anyone ever been toward that way? _________________ "Come after Me, and i will make you to become fishers of men"

I stay com-meted and swear by stick baits for big trout in this river... 3 1'2" $1.50 stick bait that was on sale at dicks....

Nice pic! Hey aisianfisher thanks for sharing your little "secret". Any chance you could PM me on your rigging method and technique? Would love to try this on the river.

I have to ask you don't have to answer if you don't want, but I don't know the Farmington that well and recently found some areas in the Windsor area that look good,I guess. Where abouts are you fishing it? I'm close to the Farmington,Avon end of it. I do pretty well in other places as far as keepers go,but nothing like what you have. Thanks for the help _________________ Yankees are like snitches...a dying breed |

Quinni is local to me and i know that river almost top to bottom to the Qbridge. Which i will be hitting up at night proly this weekend for those stripers. Have caught over 5 pounder trout in there cheshire meriden side also. Water has been low in the farmington and the quinni but with this rain will move some fish out of the slow waters into the faster water which i like to fish better than the slow. |

I fish it down in Wallingford. Lost a 5lb brown last year. Landed him, broke my line and I slipped and kicked him back in. I fish it right behind the Yalesville funeral home where those new apts are. There's a little parking area there. _________________ Yankees are like snitches...a dying breed |
