Went to BArkhamsted today from 6-9 with my usual fishing buddy, between the two of us landed 13 fish. 3 Browns and 9 salmon. Best fish of the day was a 13 inch brown trout. Not the biggest, but still fun. All fish were caught on either a silver phoebe or a yellow and red panther martin spinner. This was the first time that i have seen fly fisherman fishing along this stretch of the river with me and not catch anything. Usually the fly guys kick my butt, but today we got the better of them, finally. Glad to know my go to spot for some fun is back and fishable. |

Sounds like a good outing. Even though they weren't huge at least you were catching. That part of the river is nice enough that even if you're not catching the view is fantastic. |
