GKolyak (Genna) and I hit the Reef around 4:30pm. Low tide for Bridgeport was scheduled for 4:42pm. There was a steady 10mph south west wind.

Our first stop was the cows. Genna tried throwing a chrome Skitter Pop SP-9, Kastmaster, and 4" Storm Wildeye Shad. I threw a croaker Saltwater Skitter Pop SSP-9, olive green Clackin Minnow CNM-9, and original pearl shad Flat Rap FLR-10. Both of us had no luck.

As the tide turned, we slowly made our way back towards shore as both of us casted on the Bridgeport side.

As we were casting into some deeper water by wrecks, I caught a 17" fluke, 8 1/2" porgy, and 9" sea bass all with the FLR-10.

Genna played around with a combination of a Kastmaster, Storm Wildeye Shad, chrome blue Flat Rap FLR-10, and silver blue Skitter Pop SP-9.

At another area as we made our way in slowly, I hit a sea robin with the FLR-10 and lost a sea robin. Also had a fluke hit.

Another spot caught Genna a 3 pound taylor on the silver blue SP-9 and me a 3 pound taylor on the FLR-10. I lost a bigger blue on the FLR-10 in that same spot.

Once we got past the bend and closer to the sandy flats, the tide was getting higher and it was sunset.

I had another fluke hit and at the sandy flats I had what seemed to be a keeper striper hit the Flat Rap before swimming away. The hit I had was a very hard, stiff grab and pull with no head shaking.

We were back on land by 8pm.

We ran into Fishfinder (Wade) and Fishingkid at the sandy flats. Wade had no luck and fishingkid caught a 20" blue.

Genna had no luck with a chrome blue FLR-10 and silver FLR-10 but caught a bluefish with a silver blue SP-9 while I had everything hit an original pearl shad FLR-10. The special thing about the FLR-10 and SP-9 must have been the pearl orange belly. Not much topwater action this time.

I went back around 1:30 ish til about 5 and went all the way as far as you can without falling off the earth and still not a bite! I did manage a 14 lb blue, 16" striper, and a 16" shark in Milford though. Also found a nice white Sebile Magic Swimmer walking the reef to add to my collection. All the hooks were gone but I have some nice VMC's to put on it anyway as the stock trebles suck on those anyway!
