they actually scare me. mean fish. i swear up at champlain years ago i had one by the boat that followed in my pop-r looked at me then hammered my top water. they hit everything up there. absolutely destroyed a spinnerbait. seen one with a 2lb largemouth in its mouth shaking like mad one evening in st. albans bay. not good eating though even after a few beers. |

The CT River is chock full of Bowfin, and they seem to have a weak spot for night crawlers. The other fish that also like worms are great for attracting more attention to your bait/s, and you're chances of catching a wide variety of fish improves. Arguably the largest fish in the Ct river is the sturgeon which happens to prefer night crawlers over shiners. |
