yea, i live about 2 min away from the canal, i always hop the fence and fish over there(when i go there, witch insnt that often, id wrather go to north pond congamond on the canoe and catch nice 3-5 lb largies). couple years back there was a nice size sturgeon in there always staying in the deep part right against the damn. like i said before tho, in the canal itself iv always cought little large mouth and alot of sunnies, some little rock bass too, atleast thats what i think they are. did hook a big ole snapper in there one time using a rapala though. hooked him right in the neck. |

Drove by Crystal yesterday - was more than 1/2 open....No doubt it will be ice-free this week.
I've never been out this early in the year but I may give it a go since I need to get the boat off the trailer and switch out the bunks. |

yeah i know!!! I always thought that you couldn't fish anywhere until after opening day, but thats not the case for quit a few places. |

i live in stafford for the moment i but i use to live in eastwindsor and me and my buddys got bored catching schoolies and went there with shiners and nailed them between 3-5 pounds one after another and it was in the canal |
