Plan on going to congamond tomorrow, went twice this year and struck out. Can anyone offer any advice on decent area, I have heard the humps are a good to start, but didn't mark any fish on them last time iwas there.

Congamond in the summer is notorious for pleasure boaters. Phil (peco) posted a report from there a couple of weeks ago.. that may be a starting point for you.

Skunked!

Fished spinners, senkos, grub, fluke, soft plastics, frogs, also zoom frogs, nothing at all. 3rd time out there and nothing. I am done with that place for now.

There was a gentleman there doing safety inspections. I have heard of them being out there but never saw anyone.

Did you try a drop shot or football jig? It's better to fish the bottom than bang the shore at Congamond.

where have you been fishing? I lived on that lake for almost 30 years. Get your texas rig rod and jig rods and DS rod out and that is all you will ever need on the muck. There is some good deep water structure out there besides the humps. I ditched fishing shorelines many years ago after I discovered I could catch ALOT of bass in deeper water. Just got to keep at it. Youll figure it.

I will be honest I only tried drop shotting for a little while and got quite impatient with it. I will try congamond again, but I don't think it will be anytime soon.

Laughing I do that, too, even when I know it's the best way to fish. One day, I'm going to bring only big jigs with me, so that I'll stick with them for more than a few casts.
