Went back to the "spot" I hit them on my lasttrip - 2 drifts - 2 Eels - 2 "Large" bass - Had to box them - could not revive due to warm surface water - I'm a catch and release guy and it hurts to kill them - that was it for bass fishing - This was around 9:00Am in approx 60' of water. Switched over to Blues at Southwest - It was loaded with 3-4lbs (fun on light tackle on surface) - Tons of small bait everywhere. Jigged up some larger Blues as well. Learned a lesson today: I was Jigging Blues down deep and Blues surfaced around the boat - I put down the jig rod and started casting for them, As I was reeling in a smalll blue I noticed my jig rod heading overboard with a large blue attached - needless to say rod/reel/jig and blue were lost - I'm glad I buy cheap rods. I can't wait for some cooler water temps so I can start catching and releasing. |

That's one smart blue I tell ya.......taking your rod and reel away so you don't continue catching them! _________________ Eat, Sleep, Fish......I Love my SKEETER ZX225!!!
