Had an inspection at a house near the lake. I was surprised to see how low the lake is. Does any no whats going on? Also any other news about Candy would be appreciated.

They draw the lake down during winter in order to freeze and kill any weeds near shore and give the land owners a chance to do dock repair etc. There are a bunch of other lakes in CT that do the same thing,..most just get drawn down a couple of feet because they don't have the depth that cwood does!

I no that in years past they have done this but I would have thought they would start filling it by now. If it is like this by the end of april, I wonder how it will effect the smallies spawn. Also if they start filling the lake up how that might effect the smallmouths spawn.
