Fished 6 hours with son on Sunday really slow morning caught 1 small pickerel then from noon til 2 had around 8 flags but no hooksets. 4 other parties on the ice with same slow reports a few bass and pickerel no trout from what I've seen. Talked to a couple of guys say they hit it every weekend with nothing much happening. There was 11 inches of ice and one of the nicest days of icefishing yet. A guy drove his pick-up out on the middle of the ice did small trip around and took off!!! Gave us some excitement for the day. _________________ Its a whole lot more than just being "LUCKY" |

I dunno man, I like my truck too much to drive it on CT ice...
MN, or northern ME... with 3 feet...maybe.
Bummer news about the fishing reports. that place houses some good sized bass. |

i always wanted to fish black pond in woodstock but never heard any news about it. Seems like I only hear about ice fishing, never anyone fishing from a boat there. Does that place have potential for good largies? _________________ Sorry honey, looks like we will be late again due to motor problems.

I fished there this past summer from shore and caught about three largies on the far end from the boat launch. If I could catch a couple two and half pounders from shore I'd say you would have good luck from a boat. |
