Went to Black Pond in Woodstock on Saturday morning. Had 5" of black ice and another inch of the gray ice . . .plenty safe. I had three young kids with me so the fishing was not very scientific. Two small bass, two small pickerel, and one bluegill. I fished along the left shoreline from the boat ramp and used medium shiners on tip-ups.
The highlight was showing my 7 year old daughter how to use a Vexilar while jigging. She managed to catch a bluegill. |
