fished from 5-7pm. caught 3 around the islands and 5 in the back cove. largest going ~2 lbs and all caught on a jig.
this lake is beautiful! clear deep water and shallows. thought i would be catching larger fish off the many drop offs but it was not the case. all the other boats were fishing the main body of water so i was all alone in that back shallow cove. i caught the 5 in the cove in about 30-40 minutes. i'll be spending more time back there in the future. |

Good job & nice report! Were you boating or kayaking??
Didn't know a thing about that lake until your report,...actually had to look it up in the DEP book just to find out where it is! Maybe I'll have to take a trek out to there sometime as well! _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."

Nice job, 5 bass in under 40 minutes is pretty good. _________________ Eat, Sleep, Fish......I Love my SKEETER ZX225!!!

i was boating. just be careful between some of the islands. it gets real shallow real fast. i got stuck one year when the wind was blowing and it wasn't a good experience...i thought i could drift over the rocks...NOT!
the 2 times i was there, there was a good stiff breeze. not good in a kayak or canoe.
on another note, there is anderson pond across the road (201). looks to be a good place for kayaking if the wind is down. i plan to check that place out at some time... |

If anyone ever wants a guided trip just let me know. I've lived on the lake for 12 years and know it pretty well. The best fishing is deep weed edges and extended points. For a small lake it fishs much bigger due to the depth, milfoil, islands, points etc.
Anderson pond ( blue lake) is a very shallow weed pit. It does have a few good fish in it but with seven other good lakes within 15 minutes of it makes it easy to ignore.. |
