Wednesday I hit Mondo, arriving around 5:15. Was feeling sketchy about how the bite was gonna be due to the cold front, recent hot temps, and how weedy the place has gotten.
I covered certain spots and threw Booyah Pond Magic buzzbait, Booyah Micro Pond Magic spinner, 2 custom made inlines, firetiger HJ-6, glass minnow HJ-6, Berkley Sick Fish Jr, Snag Proof frog, and custom made buzzbait.
Beat the skunk by catching a cookie cutter just under a pound on the Sick Fish Jr. Used it as a slow sinking twitch bait imitating a badly injured minnow.
Had bluegills tapping and largemouths slowly following the glass minnow HJ-6 as I'd use it as a stop and go jerkbait.
Had a nice hit right in front of me on the Micro Pond Magic.
Hit the road around 8:45 |
