Bantam is big enough 8 boats pre fishing won't hurt it. Only 3 or 4 guys will probably go anyways. I may be up there Saturday..... |

Well by poking your fish, you mean finding a school of bass over a remnant of green weeds then yes I do care.
And as long as you poke YOUR spot and not the other areas on the lake sore mouthing fish than thats fine too.
I take tournies seriously and the cash value has nothing to do with it. I just like the hole idea of fair play. Call me old school or honest. |

Most guys that do well don't "pre-fish". They just drive around and watch the finder. Only an idiot would hook their fish the day before a tourney.... |

Not trying to start anything but I have caught fish, tagged them and went back the next day and caught the same fish.
I was fishing with Billy Bass up to twin one day . Billy flipped into a tree and hooked a fish. Do to the the zeebra mussles his line snapped. We went about 100 yards up the shore and he caught a fish. It was the same fish that broke him off. The same jig not rusted and the same line. Nick if you follow weather and the time of year you will be able to find fish.A cold front could hurt you but with all the books I read and fishing that I do I don't feel that pre fishing will hurt fishing the next day. The fish still have to eat.
Tight lines

I have had that happen too Scotti but with a tube. My point was you wouldn't go out and try to stick all your fish the day before the tournie. Try and find some yeah but not hook them all. My point was cutoffs don't really help the fishing. Just like the 1"-2" of rain Saturday night we are suppose to get. |
