Everyone see this? Saw it in the weekly fishing report from the DEP...
"The state boat launch on BANTAM LAKE at the old Beverly’s Marina site is now open to use. The launch is open 24/7 and parking for the launch is restricted to an absolute maximum of 20 vehicles. " _________________ Steve |

I saw that about the new launch being 24/7. Does that mean the lake is now 24/7 because its dawn to dusk at bantam last time I checked. Just wondering... |

The only "dusk to dawn" restriction on Bantam Lake is the restriction on the use of motors from 11:00 pm to 5:00 am. More specifically, the listing for Bantam Lake in the 2012 Connecticut Boater's Guide states:
Quote: | Bantam Lake — Litchfield/ Morris, 947 acres.
Regulations: 6 mph limit in Nick’s Cove. Boats towing water-skiiers not permitted within 150 feet of shore, except taking off or landing, no riding on deck, no motors 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., no kite skiing or parasailing without permission. |
