Time 10am-2pm
Water Temp 54-56
Clarity- Springlike less than 2 feet. No green glow. tons of leaves
Wind- SW gusty but not bad

Objective- Burn some old fuel, use new fishfinder with GPS. Fish would be a bonus

Buzzed the lake a few times. Got her up to 60mph, not bad with my big ass and a half tank of fuel and ALL my gear

Decided to hit the bouys on the eastern shore. Threw the whole thing at them...nothing. Didnt mark anyfish there either. I always get a few there found it wierd.

Motored over to the rocky point. Worked my way towards the beach. Saw two dudes in a fish/ski boat hit the north shore near the river. Anyway, half way down the bank in 4 FOW bang! 14" lm on a Senko. Thru a jig for awhile nuttin.
Almost to the shallo end another lm on a Senko same size. Put the trolling motor on 100 and blew back to the point. Got a nice smalley a grn pmkn 4"grub. Not bad...3 keeps.

Went over to the western shore by the no wake narrows. Threw some junk around the tree....nuttin. I did find a hump in 16 FOW straight out from a boathouse that had fish on it. Circled and circled and circled for ever it seemed. couldnt stay on it with the wind. FishFinder is pretty cool.Marked the spot.

Well, had enough....well almost. WTF why not. I havent fished the southend of the lake in years. all the raft and dock are out and the wind was chilled...what the heck.

I stayed in or tried to stay in about 4-6 FOW. Put on a brand new senko and I'm off. Probably the most enjoyable 1 hour spent. Second cast....nice 3 lb lm. Next cast a 11" then a dink a few minutes later. Had a nice sized pike follow my senko to the boat...no deal. The last house on that side is where I spun around to head back. Soon as the bait hit the water it seemed....there goes my line. If your like me that is the absolute best for a hookset. No fans to see it but it was a field & stream shot...LOL. Another 3.4 lm my best for the day.

Pics...well. My camera got wet a few weeks back. Decided to get a new phone with a camera and it totally sucks to take pics with. Just cant seem to hold the fish and take the pic at the same time. Being by myself, it kinda sucks. I have a few...I'll get on later

Shallow and slow seems to be the only thing working right now. Is that typical for the Fall when the water temperature drops into the mid to low 50s?

Good stuff, Stratos. Nice way to burn off some fuel. I know that hump you're talking about in 16'. It's been good to me and frustrated me. Always seems to be a few hanging around there. Damien (SenkoBandit) caught a couple 3 pounders off that spot in the first tourney I fished with him. Hope you're doing well, Damien!

Phil, we'll find out the answer to your question tomorrow. I'm thinking shallow and fast, but we'll let the fish tell us!

Stratos17 - I love the rays on the face of one of your largemouth bass. Pretty fish!

Phish - I'd bet on shallow and slow, but we'll see, I guess.
