Hey guys. Hung out with a few friends, and tried my hand at fishing from shore. Caught the outgoing tide around 2230, and got a few bites, but all in all it was a slow night. I didn't see any baitfish, and only had a few bites. No bites on white or pink bucktails, but several on a kastmaster with the bucktal. That said, one was a MONSTER. I fought it for a good 5 min or so before I got tangled up with another fisherman and lost it on the point. I've never had anything other than a good sized yellow fin spool me like that. I'll be heading back out tonight. Might try the sandbar in West Haven, or head down to Fairfield and check out the reef.
Happy Fishing.
p.s. the tide really gets cranking off the tip of the jetty, so I'll definitely have to come back often.

Hi i often have been there, altough i am from nyc, was wondering if there is another place close by with good fishing, I have been to the one at sound school, didnt quite like it, Bridgeport sea side park is excellent everytime i go, And what time would you recommend at the pier at long wharf.
Suggestions would be appreciated. |
